Bulgaria’s leading OPP film manufacturer, Plastchim-T, and Brückner have successfully started their second joint BOPP film project. The 6.6m wide, over 400m/min fast production line has an annual output of approx. 18,000 tons and is equipped with state-of-the art technology, i.e. twin screw extrusion system and direct drives as well as Brückner’s patented LIWEB®, linear motor edge guide system for higher line uptime and the LIWIND®-system for high-speed film winding.
Moreover, with their new line, Plastchim-T is a real trendsetter in energy saving: Due to the overall energy optimized layout and design, and specially thanks to the TDO Heat Recovery System (an annual energy saving of another 20%), the new line is the most energy efficient one throughout Europe. All in all Plastchim-T is strengthening their position not only as Bulgaria’s No. 1, but also as one of the most progressive film producers in Eastern Europe.
On their 4.2m wide first Brückner line, Plastchim-T is successfully producing plain, coex and metalizable film. With the new line the portfolio will be expanded by white opaque and pearlized films. Aidan Faik, Plaschim-T`s owner, says: “The additional production capacity is a decisive part in our growth strategy which we are implementing step by step. Our clearly defined goals are an attractive product diversity, highest film quality and maximum performance to optimally serve the needs of our customers. With the first-grade film we have been producing directly from line start, we are now able to immediately satisfy Bulgaria’s growing demand for BOPP film and also to develop other emerging markets in Europe. We are glad to have reached this latest success together with our long-term partner Brückner.”
