Major project for BOPP production plant with Treofan Group
Brückner kicks 'winning goal' and lands one of its largest individual projects in company history
In yet another thrilling move for the entire Brückner Group, Treofan Group, one of the world’s leading specialty BOPP film manufacturers, has selected Brückner to be part of their team and join them as their general contractor for their new challenging project in Mexico. A logical step, considering Brückner’s vast turnkey experience gained as a trusted partner throughout the years. Treofan will invest a huge amount (approximately US$ 45 million) in expanding production and R&D facilities at their Zacapu plant in the Mexican state of Michoacan.
Looking forward to this collaboration, Brückner will not only be supplying a high speed BOPP production line, but will also provide a complete turnkey package for the entire production plant – ranging from the outside silos to the final loading docks. Among other things, Brückner will be responsible for the:
Detailed engineering of plant logistics and base plant production equipment
Earthworks, site preparation and building construction
Energy and water supply systems
Connection to existing facilities
Roll handling systems
Primary and secondary slitters
Recycling systems
Packaging and storage incl. final warehouse

The new state-of the-art 8.2 m BOPP line with a capacity of 36,500 tons per year has numerous technical highlights, e.g.:
