New chain and clip system for smooth run and high speed
Treofan, one of the world's largest film producers, and Brückner Servtec, the service and upgrading company of the Brückner Group, jointly speeded up an existing BOPP production line in South Africa. Being the largest supplier of BOPP film in that region, Treofan intended to boost the efficiency of its main production line for this market. The required equipment was punctually shipped already last year, the scheduled line stop for the implementation of the equipment and the new control system took place from May 9 to June 7, 2005.
In order to keep the interruption of the production as short as possible, the assembly crew of Treofan, their local contractors and the supervisors of Brückner Servtec worked in day and night shifts around the clock. "There was an excellent cooperation and comradeship during installation and start-up. We had an ambitious time schedule, but working hand in hand, we succeeded to keep it!" says Roy Matheson, the plant's Technical Manager. And: "The new chain and clip system provides a much smoother run at a 20% higher speed. The quality of the new parts is excellent!"
