Biaxplen on their way to Europe’s top – with one more Brückner high-performance BOPP line
06 Oct 2011
Biaxplen NK LLC, the main producer of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) in Russia, and Brückner teamed up again for a new project. With the new flexible 8.2m wide BOPP film production line Biaxplen adds another 30,000 tonnes to their total output capacity of 106,000 tonnes per annum.
This is already the third Brückner line for Biaxplen, both companies have been cooperating for several years. Good teamwork with the local staff in Brückner’s Moscow office, continuous „hands-on-service” and joint film development on Brückner’s pilot line has been characteristic of this partnership.
The recently ordered line impresses with sophisticated twin-screw technology, high production speeds and the largest output among Biaxplen’s existing BOPP lines. It will be a decisive step for Biaxplen on their way to become one of Europe’s major film producers. With Brückner at their side they can rely on a project management with punctual time schedules, German workmanship, excellent process know-how and high quality output right from the start.
Biaxplen’s enterprises produce more than 40 kinds of BOPP film used in the production of flexible packaging for food and non-food products, labels and tape. The company also produces barrier films and synthetic paper. Biaxplen is a daughter company of Sibur, the leader of petro chemistry in Russia and Eastern Europe. Sibur incorporates plants that employ over 50,000 people in 26 regions of Russia, operating across the entire petrochemical process chain from gas processing to the production of monomers and plastics, mineral fertilizers, tyres, as well as the processing of plastics.
