Covinil’s second BOPET line
Complejos de Vinyl SA (Covinil SA), a Spanish market leader founded in 1975, is dedicated to the manufacture of high-quality plastic films for the food packaging industry. Specialities are films for wrapping candy, lidding for trays and Christmas decoration items.
Perfectly suited to Covinil’s 50th anniversary celebration was the successful commissioning of the company’s second Brückner BOPET film production line.
With our new line we will consolidate our reputation as specialty film manufacturer that focuses not only on top quality but also on sustainability and circular economy. Since our first investment in a Brückner BOPET line we have been relying on PET, the most recycled plastic in the world and the only material that can include high amounts of post-consumer recycled content approved for food contact. With our second line which has recently started up, we're still in when it comes to complying with legal guidelines such as PPWR.
Peter Mertes, Head of Sales Brückner Maschinenbau, is enthusiastic about the project management on both sides: “Determination, straightforwardness and perfect teamwork paired with many years of experience made the project enjoyable from the very first ideas right through to ‘good film on winder’.
