Shenda Group celebrate a 40th anniversary and with Brückner thirty years of collaboration
When Zhang Guoping and his two brothers founded the Jiangyin Shenda Group in 1985, originally designed for the production of woven PP bags, no one could have predicted its long-term success. Today, the Group has become a leading plastics film producer with a constant drive for innovation, always seeking new opportunities.
This is particularly reflected in 30 years of collaboration with Brückner, which have been marked by a number of milestones: from the first 6,6 meter wide cigarette packaging film production line – a benchmark in China – to the worldwide first 8.2m multi-gap stretching polyester film production line, signed in a legendary ceremony in the presence of the former Chinese Prime Minister and the former German Chancellor at The Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Jiangyin Shenda made another forward-looking decision that was typical: the company entered a new market by founding the current collector manufacturer Nanopore in 2021 and the film producer Boheng in 2022, ready to conquer the “new energy economy”. And right away – just like Jiangyin Shenda always does it – with four Brückner lines, sequential and simultaneous, for the production of ultra-thin technical films. And now, another line for the manufacture of capacitor film for high-voltage DC transmission was signed during the exclusive 40th anniversary celebration: 6.4m width, high output configuration, film thickness up to 16µm.
First of all it was a great honor to be invited to the anniversary as the only guests outside the Shenda family – an occasion filled with warmth and emotion, going beyond a mere business relationship. As part of the team for the first film production line project back in 1995, I can say with good reason: Shenda Group and Brückner have been comrades in arms and companions on the path of innovation for three decades and we firmly believe that the best is yet to come. The current signing was a successful start to this.
Our long-shared tradition is wonderful. But what makes me even happier is that we are not resting on our laurels: We are always searching, side by side, hungry for more. That's how I imagine a true partnership.
