From Idea to Application

Our research and development activities lay the foundation for technologies that meet the demands of tomorrow.

The film industry is evolving rapidly. New materials, increasing requirements for sustainability and the circular economy, and ever more demanding applications are changing what is expected of packaging films and technical films.

Customer Benefit:

New materials and film concepts can be evaluated under realistic conditions even at early stages of development. This provides a sound basis for subsequent development steps and the assessment of new application and technology concepts.

At Brückner Maschinenbau, new solutions emerge where decades of experience meet scientific curiosity: in research and development (R&D).

Research and development is a key source of our innovative strength. Together with customers, raw material suppliers, research institutions, and industry partners, we explore questions that are shaping the future of the film industry. Our goal is clear: to support the industrial usability of new materials, optimize development processes, and help bring new products to market.

A central building block of this work is our Technology Center in Siegsdorf. Here, we test new raw materials, further develop processes, and evaluate innovative film concepts under practical conditions long before they are transferred to industrial film production.

When Questions Become Innovation

Can high-quality recycled material meet the requirements of modern BOPP films?

Together with PureCycle Technologies, Brückner Maschinenbau investigated the potential of recycled polypropylene materials for demanding film applications. The results point to opportunities for using recycled polypropylene materials in demanding packaging applications in the future.
