Production lines for high grade packaging film in great demand
Overwhelming presence of the public at the Brückner booth
Brückner`s participation in this year`s "Interplastica" in Moscow was a big success. The immense interest of experts in production lines for high grade packaging film exceeded all expectations. Film producers, investors and renowned analysts like "Abercade Consulting", concordantly forecasted a continuous growth of the film markets within the CIS states. Especially for Russia double-digit growth rates are expected. The reasons for this development:
Increasing proportion of flexible film within the packaging sector
Growing importance of high grade packaging film
Rising proprietary production with local raw material, decreasing film imports
After many promising meetings during the show, Brückner, the German world market leader for film stretching lines, foresees the following trends:
Ongoing interest in high-performance BOPP lines, especially because of the rising demand within the food packaging sector.
Increasing demand for flexible lines for the production of speciality film (BOPET, BOPA, BOPS, PET-G, OPS, PVC), such as capacitor film, high barrier film, shrink film for sleeve applications and BOPS film for the finishing of thermo-formed products.
Brückner offers an extensive partnership
During their visit at the Brückner booth, market newcomers underlined the importance of an extensive project support: from project evaluation and project management up to know how transfer for a successful film production. Brückner offers a long lasting worldwide experience in realising complete turnkey production factories. In this matter Brückner co-operates with renowned local partners, in Russia for example with the well-known institute "Giproplast". This experienced engineering partner for the project planning of plastics production equipment and factories possesses wide state-run licenses.
Many insiders pointed out that they want to use local raw material in the future. They also intend to develop new film types, tailor-made for the needs of the Russian market. For that purpose they can benefit from Brückner`s unique technology centre:
Raw material analysis in sophisticated chemical and film laboratories
Investigation of stretching properties
Test series on laboratory extruder, laboratory stretching frame and a complete pilot line
The well organised "Interplastica" 2004 impressively proved the rapid expansion of the film industry in Russia and the CIS states. According investions in production lines will build up local capacities thus replacing film imports. Due to their extensive competences, Brückner sustained their position as market leader within this relatively new market as well - and is ready to be a competent partner in further projects.
