Inauguration of Russia’s most powerful and most flexible BOPP line

Great demand for Novatek's high quality films


OAO Novatek recently inaugurated their new BOPP stretching line in Novokuybshevsk, Samara region. The ultra-flexible 8.2 m Brückner line has an annual capacity of 25,500 tons and enables Novatek to produce various kinds of film. The new line will permit Novatek to satisfy the growing demand for packaging material in Russia in the fields of metallized film, high shrinkage tobacco film, and numerous other opaque, plain and co-extruded films ranging from 10 - 80 µm.


Brückner not only supplied the mere stretching line but provided a complete turnkey project:


Downstream equipment, such as primary and secondary slitters, metallizers, palletizers.

Plant logistic system including mill roll and slit roll handling, packing, and conveying systems for warehousing.

Utilities: power, thermal and compressed air supply.

Entire factory layout including office and adjoining buildings in co-operation with our renowned Russian engineering partner “Giproplast”.



Ultra-modern BOPP film laboratory

Another important element of the scope of supply is an ultra-modern BOPP film laboratory to assure a constant high film quality level by consecutive analysis. In addition to standard devices for testing the film’s mechanical properties, sophisticated methods are available to analyze thermal behavior (shrinkage) and optical properties. Thereby guaranteeing that even the highest requirements of challenging customers, such as the cigarette industry, are fulfilled. Since use of first class raw material is inevitable for producing top quality film, the supplied laboratory also includes appropriate equipment for quality control. This equipment ensures the level of quality customers of Brückner and Novatek are expecting.
