Brückner at BOPP Film 2005

Potential markets – current trends – technological solutions

AMI's BOPP film conference is one of the most prestigious and leading forums for the plastics industry worldwide. This year's conference, which was held in Shanghai from May 10 – 12, once again attracted visitors from all over the world. Among them were over 250 delegates from Europe, South- and North America, the Middle East, India, South East Asia, Korea and China. International speakers gave an in-depth look at new technologies in several key areas: resin and additive solutions, film production equipment as well as evolutions in converting. This time around, an overview of market developments placed special emphasis on the Chinese market and offered a close-up look at changes there.

In his well-received speech, Markus Gschwandtner, Brückner's Head of Sales Division, focused on how to face the current market challenges, namely increasing resin prices and line outputs, which in turn lead to shrinking margins. He pointed out how Brückner, the world market leader, will assist its customers in meeting these future requirements:

In addition to the conference's general atmosphere, lively discussions at Brückner's well-attended table-top exhibition and cocktail reception clearly demonstrated that these topics are indeed on the minds of many film producers and therefore generate huge interest.
