Argha Karya invests in specialty film production

One of the leading BO film manufacturers in the ASEAN region, Indonesian PT Argha Karya Prima Industry Tbk, decided to enhance their product portfolio – and to go again with their long-term partner Brückner. The meanwhile 9th joint project is an ultra-modern BOPP film line, fully loaded with the latest features for utmost efficiency and flexibility. With this new line, Argha Karya will manufacture added-value specialties such as ultra-high barrier films and all kinds of 5-layer films – meeting all market requirements for new packaging solutions and the upcoming circular economy.

Elius Pribadi, Argha Karya’s Director says: “Our relationship with Brückner has been constantly growing over the last decades. But this was only one of the reasons for the decision to join forces again. Another one was, that we are fully convinced of Brückner`s state-of-the-art solutions. Both components – trust and technology – are exactly what we are looking for to strengthen our market position in more and more complex business surroundings”.

Argha Karya is a real pioneer in the flexible packaging film business in Southeast Asia. Established in 1980 as the first of its kind in Indonesia, the company already teamed up with Brückner in 1982 for the first commercial production of BOPP film.

Today, the company's production facilities in Indonesia and Malaysia have a total installed capacity of more than 100.000 tons per annum.
Up to now, several Brückner lines in different width and output ranges are manufacturing a variety of BOPP and BOPET films for industrial uses and consumer goods’ packaging: food products, paper lamination, cigarettes, adhesive tapes and others. Within nearly 40 years now, Argha Karya has been fostering local and international markets with highest standard products and services.
