PT. Indopoly Swakarsa and Brückner are celebrating the unlocked potential for BOPE packaging solutions in this region

PT. Indopoly Swakarsa, one of Brückner’s longest-standing customers in the Southeast Asian region, has made a clear commitment to PE mono-material packaging with its new Brückner hybrid line. The 6.6m 5-layer line specializes in high value-added products and can process both PP and PE raw materials.

“The line is equipped with the latest features for BOPE film production to meet current and future requirements for mono-material solutions,” emphasizes Xaver Sedlmeier, Sales Director at Brueckner Group Asia-Pacific. “This enables Indopoly to find new opportunities for sustainable packaging.”

It is an important step for our company and the industry to offer high quality mono-material film in Indonesia and the Southeast Asian region. I am pleased that the joint efforts of Brückner and Indopoly have led to this successful project completion.

Henry Halim, Chairman and CEO of PT. Indopoly Swakarsa, congratulating the entire team on the successful start-up

Last year, another hybrid line was successfully put into operation at sister company Suzhou Kunlene Film Industries. Now the first PE line in Southeast Asia followed.

BOPE films (Biaxially Oriented Polyethylene), with their mono-material structure, represent a significant advancement for the circular economy, utilizing widely available PE recycling streams. The benefits of biaxial stretching and optimized converting processes make BOPE an ideal solution for sustainable and recyclable packaging.

Brückner’s hybrid line concept, which combines BOPE and BOPP production, offers manufacturers such as Indopoly the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing market demands, ensuring they remain at the forefront of packaging innovation.
