Fujian Youyi Group and Brückner respond to the growing demand for adhesive tape
Successful commissioning of an additional 10.4 m BOPP line at Kunming City, Yunnan Province in China
Online retail is booming – not only during the pandemic but also afterwards, people around the world are increasingly shopping online. Taking the two largest economies as an example, e-commerce accounted for 22.0% of total retail sales in the USA in 2023. China showed the same trend: 27% of total retail sales in China were generated online. And with the boom comes, or rather increases a corresponding need for packaging materials.
To meet this growing demand, our long-standing customer Fujian Youyi who operates at 3 different locations already 16 Brückner BOPP lines has expanded his plant park by further 4 BOPP lines. The latest state-of-the-art 10.4m line produces exclusively 3-layer PP film, which is then further processed into adhesive tape exclusively by Youyi himself.
It is always a nice confirmation of our technology, but also of our one hundred per cent customer focus, when a long-standing partner places its trust in us again for new projects. This is by no means a matter of course
